Lindsay is a native to Louisiana and has been practicing yoga since her early 20’s. She has used the asana to overcome injuries by heavily modifying and learning the value of listening to one’s body. This translates into her teachings as she encourages students to be compassionate with their bodies, pause to feel the subtle energies within, and to honor where they arrive on each given day - accepting that each day will be different. When you take her class, at some point, she is sure to remind you to love yourself now, pay yourself a compliment, and/or practice gratitude for your life as it arrives on that day. Lindsay is passionate about the mental and spiritual benefits of yoga. She aspires to hold sacred space for each student, to encourage each student to own their practice, and for each student to have their own individual experiences within her classes. Lindsay feels there is nothing like whipping out your mat, practicing pranayama, challenging your body to get out of your head, and then slowing it down for a delicious stretch that reconnects with not only your breath, but yourself. If you’re having a bad day, the best thing in the world to Lindsay is to hit the mat and practice some good deep breathing as you move through a nice yoga flow.
When not teaching in the studio, Lindsay loves to participate in various styles of yoga and physical fitness feeling that balance comes when we cross train our minds and bodies in multiple styles of physical and mental practice. Family life is very important, as she loves to be involved with her children’s activities and adventures. Lindsay left the corporate B2B sales world to pursue a diversity of income streams and has successfully put together a work portfolio that enables her to be more present for her children. Lindsay’s work weeks include not only leading yoga and fitness classes, but also freelancing graphic design, print and social media marketing, and personal assistant help for individuals. As hobbies, Lindsay enjoys getting out in the sunshine, swimming, paddle-boarding, bike riding, and enjoying beach time; going on adventures with her children and friends; drawing, painting, and crafting (mostly with the kids these days); and enjoying time with friends over dinner, live music, dancing, and lots of laughter.
